GatorX Advances to Semi-Final Round of XPRIZE Track B Autonomous Wildfire Challenge.

Official XPRIZE announcement GatorX included in the top 29 semifinalist teams

Alachua, Florida Aug 1, 2024 (Issuewire.com) - Fire Neural Network (FNN) is thrilled to announce that our team, GatorX, has advanced to the semi-final round of the XPRIZE Track B Autonomous Wildfire Challenge. The announcement was made by industry leaders Andrea Santy, Jay Stalnacker, Mark Quinian and Ryan Lancios at the Safety and Security Summit, held at the Hilton during the Esri User Conference (Esri UC)

GatorX is a well-rounded partnership between Fire Neural Network, University of Florida, NVIDIA, Satlantis, SwissDrones, Archer Aviation, SWIR Vision Systems, and N5 Sensors. The fully autonomous GatorX solution removes first responders from harms way and displays the use of advanced AI for good in real-world applications in accessible and responsible ways. Using Satlantis satellite imaging, Fire Neural Network High-Risk-Lightning sensors, N5 smoke sensors, FireBird drones, and UF's NVIDIA HiPerGator AI supercomputer, GatorX can quickly detect the location of hotspots, verify the hotspots, and autonomously eliminate fires.

At the Esri UC Conference, FNN was prominently featured in the Start-Up Partner Zone, providing us with a valuable opportunity to engage with industry leaders and showcase our groundbreaking solutions. Fire Neural Network CEO and Co-Founder, Dr. Istvan Kereszy, along with Adam Panos from the San Bernardino County Fire Department, presented on the integration of the FNN HRL Dashboard into their GIS-enabled Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP). Hosted on the Esri Hub platform, this innovative integration highlights a significant advancement in wildfire management by leveraging GIS technology to enhance community safety and response efforts.

In addition, FNN showcased our cutting-edge technologies in the Start-Up Zone. Our presentation featured the HRL Detector, HRL Dashboard, and FireBird Dronesolutions at the forefront of wildfire detection and management. These technologies address critical challenges in wildfire prevention and response, reinforcing our commitment to advancing the field.
