Derby, Derbyshire Apr 3, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - It was a pleasure speaking with plus size influencer, model, body positivity activist and rising star, @raising_ajs.
@Raising_ajs displays her fight for body positivity through celebrating and promoting fashion on her socials, she has also recently taken up modelling to challenge stereo-typical views in the fashion and modelling industry.
It's pretty clear to that the modelling industry requirements have become more and more inclusive through the years. @Raising_ajs explained " I've wanted to model for years I've always been very passionate about fashion, when I was a teen I applied to a modelling agency to which I was told I wasn't tall enough and I didn't meet other requirements which I'm assuming was because I wasn't Skinny. Which was really disheartening." @raising_ajs currently has 21,000 plus followers on her Instagram platform which is made up of supporters all over the world helping her to spread her plus size body positivity story with others.
After speaking to @raising_ajs it was clear that her goal is to show the world that they should love themselves no matter the size and that "every body is a good body". Whilst showing her love for fashion paige stated that "big girls can wear cute clothing too, we still need to feel confident and sexy!" She also explained that "not every shop caters for plus size" with some shops not selling items of clothing past a size 14 UK, believing this needs to change and that plus-sized bodies should be a norm in today society. "Even though I believe we're not quite there yet I believe the industry is slowing taking a turn towards plus-size in general.
@raising_ajs has been working with photographers to shoot commercial, fashion and editorial shoots to which can found on her Instagram platform, paige even told us that a few fashion magazines have been in contact with her to publish the images that she has modelled in, for their magazines.
After asking @raising_ajs do you have anything exciting happening in the upcoming months she replied " I mean yeah there's always something happening in my crazy busy life! I've got a modelling shoot coming up this month with Code Models, I'm also attending a fashion networking event hosted by The 10k Club which is exclusive events for influencer and bloggers with over 10k followers so I'm super excited for this! And of course I have collaborations with brands which happens a few times a month, I'm with Sintillate Talent Agency and they're brilliant at finding partnerships for me, I've worked with over 20 brands already!"
Sounds like there are lots of events happening with @raising_ajs and I wish her well in all of these, and want to thank her for this interview today expressing her views on plus-sized modelling and letting us know what she's doing to rebel against the norms in the industry.
