Monroe, Michigan Jun 5, 2024 (Issuewire.com) - Vets With Nets is proud to announce that this years event is set to be the biggest and best ever! With nearly 450 Veterans and 175 boat captains, we are thrilled to welcome over 1,000 participants to Detroit Beach Boat Club for what has now become the largest Veteran fishing event in the USA.
Veterans from 24 different states, 3 different countries and captains from 10 different states will gather for this extraordinary event. Vets With Nets is more than just a fishing competition; it's a celebration of camaraderie, community, and the great outdoors, providing our Veterans with a unique opportunity to connect and create lasting memories.
The festivities kick off on Friday, June 7th with a pig roast and meet and greet, setting the stage for the main event. This opening celebration is an excellent chance for participants to mingle, share stories, and gear up for the fishing ahead. The public is invited to join in the excitement starting at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 8th as our anglers return from the water to weigh in their heaviest walleye catches.
